Peanut Butter Fudge Cereal Squares

Good Morning, I hope this post finds you smiling this Thursday morning. Today I want to share this yummy delicious sweet dessert. This is a recipe that was passed down to me from my Aunt Sylvie, who got it from my Grandma. These squares are absolutely delicious and very sweet. They are easy to make. I usually  double the recipe and it made enough to fit in a glass 10×13 casserole dish. The standard recipe, as below works with an 8×8 dish.

If you enjoy this tasty treat, please share and follow my blog. Please also comment if you enjoyed this treat!!!!

Thank you!

You Will Need:

  • 1/2 Cup of White Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup of Corn Syrup (I used the Walmart Brand)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Vanilla
  • 1 Cups of Peanut Butter (Smooth)
  • 1 Cups of Cornflakes (I used the Walmart Brand)
  • 1 Cups of Rice Krispies (I used the Walmart Brand)
  • 1/4 Cup of Margarine/Butter
  • 1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Milk
  • 1 Cups of Icing Sugar

Directions:

Bottom Layer: Melt on stove the white sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and peanut butter . Once smooth add in the cereal. Mix all together for a few minutes and then add it to the casserole dish.

Top Layer: Mix the  margarine, milk, brown sugar together. I warmed in on the stove until it blended together, this took about 5 minutes. Remove from stove and add icing sugar, mixing completely. Then smooth in to the casserole dish.

Keep in fridge for a couple of hours, cut into squares and serve.

Total Time: Approx. 25 minutes (doesn’t include cooling time)
